1. What should we wear to class?
Adults should wear comfortable clothing and no shoes. Children can wear any of the following: leotard, tights with ballet shoes, skirts or tutus, or any comfortable clothing that will not obstruct movement. In other words, ballet clothes and shoes are not required but may be fun for your child!
2. Is there a place for my other children if they want to watch?
Yes, Columbia Ballet School has 3 studios with large windows for viewing from the hallway. Siblings can watch from the window. They can also sit inside the studio and watch. They can even participate if they feel up for it!
3. If I am injured or don't participate in all the activities can we still take the class?
Yes. Parents and children are welcome to watch. Some children (and adults) are very shy for the first few weeks. Sometimes the children don't want to do exactly what I'm saying and that is fine too as long as they are not distracting the rest of the class.
4. How long will the class last?
The class will be 30-45 minutes depending on the size of the class and age of the children.
5. Will the class go through the summer?
Yes. We'd like to keep the class going as long as there is interest.
